The schedule of 2018 events has been added to the event page. 2018 Events are here.......
2017 Trip To The Liverpool Maritime Museum.
We took the train from Ormskirk with the ‘Saveaway’ ticket. This gives you extended travel for an extra 20p. Some chose to see the Western Approaches wartime control centre near the Pierhead.
John’s run to ‘Belmont and Beyond’
We met at the Travellers Rest (probably for the last time). It’s rumoured David Y had slept in his bike gear so he could get an early start! Even John was early and gave out the maps and instructions while Tony collected donations for the Air Ambulance.
Wednesday 13th September Tony’s Morning Run
Seven bikes turned out on a very showery day to follow Tony round the lanes of Sefton. Three of these riders were new members and one was riding his newly built Norvin.
Jampot Rally 2017
This year the Jampot Rally was held in the Cotswolds at Stowe-on-the-Wold. Rose and I set off on Monday and camped near Chipping Campden on a CL site at a working farm. Albert and Dianne from the Cheshire and North Wales section were also camped there. We both towed our caravans with vans with bikes inside.
Richard’s Silverdale Run 2017
Eight members met at Barton Grange Garden Centre on the A6. Richard thought, as it would be very ‘twisty and turny’ we might try the …DROP OFF SYSTEM…AGHHHH!!
Steve’s Pendle Hill Run
12 bikes assembled at the Myerscough opposite British Aerospace on the A59. Mostly the usual suspects of course but it was nice to see Alan with pillion Shenna on his lovely Moto Guzzi T3.
Peters Lakes Run 2017
7 riders met at Barton Grange Garden Centre car park near Bilsborough. It was a dull sort of day but we had to put on sunglasses to view Chris’s brand-spanking new Suzuki 250 Inazuma.
RNLI Day 2017
It was very nice day for our run to Blundell Sands sailing club for the RNLI open day. 8 members set off from the Travellers Rest and we bimbled our way down all the small lanes through Lathom, Bickerstaffe etc until we reached Hightown.
Bob’s Run – Haworth – 15th July 2017
Eleven riders turned up at the Petre Arms to start the run and many were pretty wet on arrival! Wet gear on and charity collection made, we departed down through Billington and Whalley and right to the A671 and then onto Sabden.
