Chairman Richard’s Old Gits Run – May 2018
9 of the usual suspects met at Barton Grange on a lovely warm, sunny morning. Chairman Richard led us off on a route down small quiet lanes, very bumpy in places after the winter.
Steve’s Run – 19 May 2018
10 riders turned out for Steve’s run on a beautiful warm and sunny morning. Steve announced that Lunch would be at Slaidburn just in case anyone got separated then off we went, up the A6 and turned off through Scorton and on up towards Marshaw but turned off this road to pass through the Duke of Westminster’s Estate to end up at Abbystead.
Jim’s Run to Kettlewell – 5 May 2018
As Jim is suffering from Epistaxis (OK nose bleed!) he delegated to Rob. We met at Springwood Picnic area, just outside Whalley. Only 5 bikes turned up (was it something we said?) There where AMC 2 singles, 2 AMC twins and Alan’s 850 Moto Guzzi. Alan’s pillion for the day was his daughter Mary.
Memorial Run – 28 April 2018
A bright and sunny morning tempted 16 riders out for the Memorial Run and Frank led us off on the usual route through Inglewhite towards Longridge.
2018 Events Added
The schedule of 2018 events has been added to the event page. 2018 Events are here.......
2017 Trip To The Liverpool Maritime Museum.
We took the train from Ormskirk with the ‘Saveaway’ ticket. This gives you extended travel for an extra 20p. Some chose to see the Western Approaches wartime control centre near the Pierhead.
John’s run to ‘Belmont and Beyond’
We met at the Travellers Rest (probably for the last time). It’s rumoured David Y had slept in his bike gear so he could get an early start! Even John was early and gave out the maps and instructions while Tony collected donations for the Air Ambulance.
Wednesday 13th September Tony’s Morning Run
Seven bikes turned out on a very showery day to follow Tony round the lanes of Sefton. Three of these riders were new members and one was riding his newly built Norvin.
Jampot Rally 2017
This year the Jampot Rally was held in the Cotswolds at Stowe-on-the-Wold. Rose and I set off on Monday and camped near Chipping Campden on a CL site at a working farm. Albert and Dianne from the Cheshire and North Wales section were also camped there. We both towed our caravans with vans with bikes inside.
Richard’s Silverdale Run 2017
Eight members met at Barton Grange Garden Centre on the A6. Richard thought, as it would be very ‘twisty and turny’ we might try the …DROP OFF SYSTEM…AGHHHH!!
