9 riders turned up on a chilly day to follow Frank through the lanes of Ribble Valley, Bowland and Pendle to have lunch at the farm on Kiln Hill Lane at Feizor.

Starting from the Esso Garage at Osbaldeston we headed east and then North to Ribchester where we took Gallows lane to the B6243 passing through Hurst Green and Mitton, Waddington Grindleton, Wigglesworth and Rathmel for a stop at Settle. Here Richard’s bike had a fit and wouldn’t start so Bob threatened it and it started for him!

A short run from Settle through Giggleswick took us to Kiln Hill Lane, the little lane that runs to Feizor

During our Lunch inside the farmhouse cafe we were joined by Dave Laycock and Partner who had arrived by their own route from Thornton to join us. Nice to see you Dave!

After dining we set off back to the A65 and turned off west to the B6480 towards Bentham. A few turns took us to Lythe Fell Road, where there seemed to be a lot of sheep with a death wish on the road, over the moors where the wind was very gusty and on down through the valley past Stocks reservoir to Slaidburn for a rest stop.

As we were about to leave the car park a couple of loaded up bikes arrived, one being an MZ two stroke. The MZ rider was a lady who came over to talk to us as she saw we were on AMC machines and told us she had a 350 M16 at home in Tarleton! So she and her friend were warmly welcomed to join us at the Farmers arms one club night.

The run completed by going through Newton in Bowland, Bashall, and into a very busy Whalley where we turned right to Billington to complete the run at the Petre Arms.

Everyone proclaimed it was a great run out and the total miles from start to finish about 70 miles.

Thanks to Frank for a very nice run out.
