On a sunny but very windy and cold evening 12 members turned up to display their bikes at Briers hall with the Austin Seven Club cars.  As usual there were some lovely cars on display, not all Austins and some lovely bikes, not all AMC! The usual chatter and inspections took place and many retired to the cosy warmth of the bar until the raffle was drawn. I am not sure who won what, but a nice evening was had by all and we were invited, again, by the raffle ladies to visit their weekly meeting at the Canberra Club on Tuesday evenings. This seems to be a motoring enthusiasts evening meeting where any vintage machine is welcome. I might try it on my return from Norway.

It was nice to see Lawrie again riding his bike (against doctor’s orders I might add) and Tony turned up again on his Sunbeam as his G80 is misfiring which he thinks is the magneto on the way out.

It was very cold and windy on the way back to Lytham and I regretted not putting the liner back in my jacket. Well it is summer isn’t it?

Overall a nice run out but that A59 is dead boring!!
