Blood Bike Presentation on Club Night 12th October 2023.
After a lovely sunny day it was a beautiful evening for a ride to the Club to hear and see a presentation of their latest situation and activities by Peter Leonard of the Noth West Blood Bikes Charity.
There were 9 of our bikes there and a shiny new BMW R1200 on display in the full Blood Bikes Livery. Compared to our old steeds it looked a monster with is panniers and fairing but I did notice the low seating position which made it look easy to reach the ground when stopped. (an issue us oldies are sensitive to!)
On entry to the Club Barry Mayren and Peter Leonard of the Blood Bikes had already set up the projector, display stand and screen for their presentation and after all the members had arrived we agreed to alter the evening schedule to allow Peter to give us the presentation so that he could return the bike to the HQ in case it was needed on a call out.
After a very good and informative presentation with a couple of historic videos and many questions answered we thanked the pair and many made donations to assist in their endeavours.
