9 of the usual suspects met at Barton Grange on a lovely warm, sunny morning. Chairman Richard led us off on a route down small quiet lanes, very bumpy in places after the winter. There were great views of the Irish Sea and Morecambe Bay as we went higher in the hills. When we reached Oakenclough we joined the 2002 Jampot Rally run (in reverse) but we turned off for Galgate later. Eventually we ended up at Glasson Dock for coffee where we were joined by Trevor who couldn’t get the day off work ahem……. We were entertained by a local lunatic who was riding a CCM (no-one had a clue what he was on about, even Trevor couldn’t translate!)

We carried on to Pilling Marsh (great views as far as Barrow?) and then on inevitably to Knot End where we had us dinners. Unfortunately when we were about to set off Richard K’s twin refused to sparkle. He got a lift on the back of David Laycock’s G3LS to fetch the trailer. I felt very sorry for David’s Jampots!
We ended up back at Myerscough for coffee and insults from the staff (good natured as usual!)
Many thanks Richard for a very well- planned run on a fabulous day. Couldn’t be better!
