28 members turned out on a cold November night and braved the hailstones to join us for the carvery night. Ian and Gill had set up the dining room for us and the chef served us with either pork or beef to go with a lovely array of vegetables. The general opinion was that the food was very good, well cooked and tasty and those who needed a refill were invited to help themselves. Not many had enough space left for a desert! Chairman Richard thanked everyone for supporting the event and wished all those present a Happy Christmas in case they would not be able to attend Club Night. We sat and chatted until around 9:30 when people drifted off to the bar or home. Our thanks were relayed to Gill and Ian for accommodating us and providing a lovely meal.
This was a good event and those who were unable to attend missed a great evening out.
