10 riders met at the Spring Woods Picnic site near Whalley for Bob’s run to the Yorkshire Dales. Bob led us on a clever route which bi-passed Clitheroe, and Settle, via Halton Gill and Arncliffe to Kettlewell. This is a great place for our lunch stop sitting in the sun by the river with the high crags and cliffs towering above. We did have a quick look but to our disappointment there were no ducklings (or any other waterfowl) which needed our rescue service!

We continued our ride down the tiny back lanes to Grassington and Gargrave where we had a break. What a lovely little town this is; shame it has a through road with unwanted traffic. Then more small lanes through Paythorne and Chatburn ending up back at Spring Wood for a chat before heading for home. Thanks Bob for a great day out on a very well-planned run.
