John Iball’s run to Clapham
(Adventures of The Soggy Seven)
Seven members met at CRFC on a very wet morning. John said that the weather would clear up soon and we set off with promises of sun and swaying palm trees. In fact he was so sure that he didn’t put any overtrousers on. I soon found that my overtrousers were very good…….at keeping the water in!
2018 Jampot Rally
Rose and I set off 4 days early and arrived at a caravan site about 30 miles north of the rally where we met Albert and Dianne from the Cheshire section. We towed the caravan with my van with the Ajay inside. It is a lovely campsite in the wood which is run by the forestry commission, so lots of walks and cycle trails. We visited Stamford where ‘Middlemarch’ was filmed – lovely town.
Peter’s Lakes Run 2018
Seven of the usual suspects met at Barton grange and after Tony had extracted his £ ‘pound of flesh’ we set off up the ‘not-at-all- boring’ A6 to meet Peter, Chris and Colin at Hampson Lane. This new meeting place is off the A6 just south of the M6 junction 33 roundabout.

Chris and Trevors Run 14/7/2018
Three riders from Fylde set off to meet six riders from South Ribble and beyond at Barton grange Garden Centre where we all arrived as planned for a 9:45 start to get to Slyne Lodge. Hundred End Show 2018 (Dave’s ‘Tour of Mawdesley’)
5 Members met at CRFC on a warm but dull day. Dave led off towards Parbold before turning for Mawdesley. Would the dreaded Mawdesley Triangle claim 5 more victims?
