The Chipshop Run 20th August
7 Riders arrived at the club for the 2025 Chip Shop Run on a pleasant partly cloudy day and just after 12 noon we set off for Eccleston and the chippy. Luckily there were few other customers so all the bikes fitted in the car park and we were able to use the picnic benches on the lawn to eat our meals.
Eating and drinking finished, we set off behind Dave heading for Mawdsley, through Bispham Green to Hoscar and Newburgh. We then skirted Skelmersdale and arrived at Upholland. Here we rode to Billinge and back to Upholland. Then to finish the ride we rode through through Appley Bridge to arrive at the Rigby Arms. Here we sat out in the garden in the sun having a chinwag before everyone went their separate ways home. A lovely social ride out covering just under 50 miles and we only encountered 2 roads closed and amazingly there were diversion routes signposted. So well done Dave, a great ride and thanks to all for participating.
