Derian House Charity Run
Six bikes turned up at CRFC for the short run to Derian House to deliver our Donation to the Children’s hospice. It was a wet day, not pouring but felt quite cold. We rode the short distance to the Hospice where John joined us in his car as his bike was not in operation. We donated our £300 pounds, had our photo taken and were duly thanked for turning out on a wet day to support them.
It was decided that in light of the impending weather forecast of wind and rain we would not go on an extended ride but would ride over to the Velo Cafe for refreshments and a chat and depart home from there. All went well and the weather started to dry a little as we sat outside chatting. After half and hour we departed for our various homes and I think most would have arrived home before the heavier rain came. Thanks to the hardy riders who turned up and Bob and Tony for leading us.
